In 5 short lessons you’ll learn the basics of Growing Runners Emotional Energy Training (we call it “GREET” for short). You’ll be taught by one of the country’s top mental training specialists who has teamed up with Coach Mearns to create something special just for young distance runners. You’ll find out exactly WHAT it is, HOW it works, plus WHY and WHEN you need to use it. What you’ll take away from this course is a 3-step, 3-minute warm-up practice that you can depend on to relax your body and calm your mind before you begin your runs, your track sessions or, most importantly, as you prepare to compete. You’ll be introduced by your instructors to Energy Psychology (EP) and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) which are the innovative body-energy based methods used today by more and more of the nation’s top collegiate and professional athletes. So by learning to effectively manage your nervous system activity while under the pressure of practicing and competing, you’ll more be more confident, more relaxed and focused, and mentally and emotionally prepared when you step up to the starting line to race.
Author, teacher, counselor, and dedicated innovator in the fields of mental health and sport performance, Greg Warburton survived a traumatic leg amputation shortly after completing his first marathon at age 27 but remains a life-long athlete.
